Below is a list of all the movies I watched for Pride 2025. I tried to pick films that represent the spectrum of LGBT people. They’re ordered by star rating, best to worse. The movies are summarized using the final verdict section for each post, and there is a link if you want to read the full review.
Dating Amber 5 stars

Dating Amber is a well-conceived film about sexual identity and acceptance. The characters are highly relatable, as are the situations.
The Normal Heart 4.5 stars

The Normal Heart is an important film about a dark period in LGBT history.

Transmitzvah 4.5 stars

Transmitzvah is a delightful film that stays grounded despite some fantastical elements.
The Lost Boys 4.5 stars

The Lost Boys is the perfect film for those who like a moody and brooding romance. The acting, pacing, and visuals will pull you in and hold your interest.
Full review for The Lost Boys.
Bottoms 4 stars

Bottoms is an outrageous satire on teenage comedies. The film’s over the top and bloody exploration of female empowerment in a male dominated society is original and thoughtful.
Three Months 3 stars

Three Months is a drama that never gets off the ground.
Kinky Boots 3 stars

Kinky Boots lacks an emotional punch, and the story is not as outrageous as one would expect, making it difficult to recommend.
Looking (the movie) 2.5 stars

Looking (the movie) is only worth watching if you saw the series and have to know what became of everybody. The acting is good, but the script refuses to allow anything interesting to happen.

Drive-Away Dolls 2.5 stars

Drive-Away Dolls is a comedy about two women being chased by criminals that falls apart at the halfway mark. The script lacks insight and the lowbrow humor makes it feel trite.
