The Story:

Noah’s Ark (the movie) is a movie based on characters from the popular Logo show of the same name.

Drama ensues when Noah (Darryl Stephens) and Wade (Jensen Atwood) decide to become fathers. With their surrogate mom pregnant with twins, Noah has decided to leave his job and become a house husband. But when an opportunity arises to work for a high-profile client, he and Wade decide to hire a nanny. However, finding someone to care for their children is more difficult than expected. The nanny they want is in high demand, so they must prove their abilities to be fathers before she’ll work for them.

Some Thoughts:

Although Noah’s Ark (the movie) does a good job getting non-fans of the show up to speed, the story isn’t compelling enough for those who aren’t already invested in the characters to stick around. This is a light, soapy story with an attractive cast that have limited acting abilities. And while the story of Naoh and Wade becoming parents is specific to the film, the side stories for the secondary characters are just a continuation of what was started in the original series. And honestly, they’re not very interesting. This is nothing more than a soap opera with an 84-minute run time.

However, if you’ve seen the series, or just want to turn off your mind, then this unimaginative piece of cinema should hold your attention. Between the attractive men and the nonsensical plot, you won’t be bored.

The Final Verdict:

If you’re a fan of the Showtime series, Noah’s Ark, then you may as well give this movie a try. For everybody else looking for romance and light drama, I would suggest B-Boy Blues.
