Dead by Daylight: The Bloodweb for Beginners

Dead by Daylight Bloodweb Renato Lyra

When I first started playing Dead by Daylight, I was confused about the Bloodweb. Being new to video games–the last one I played was the original Doom–I had no idea what it was used for. The concept of using in game points to buy perks and items was new to me. However, I figured it out, and now I’ll share what I’ve learned with you.

What is the Bloodweb

The Bloodweb is a place where you can pick up useful items and perks. The number of purchasable goods depends on the level you’re on. The higher the level, the more options. Items are purchased using Blood Points, which are earned while playing the game. You can see how many Blood Points you have in the upper right portion of the screen.

In the middle of the Bloodweb is a red hexagon. All the items are connected to this hexagon, and purchases radiate out from it. It resembles a spiderweb, hence the name. If you click an item on the outer edge of the Bloodweb, everything connected to it leading to the red hexagon in the center will also be purchased with your blood points. If you click on the red hexagon, it will purchase everything it can all at one. Once you no longer have enough blood points to make a purchase, you can no longer click on items. To get more, just play another trial.

How Do You Earn Blood Points?

You get Blood Points by unhooking players, hiding from the killer, escaping from the killer in a chase, working on a generator, etc… Basically, anything you do other than walking around will earn Blood Points.

The Entity and the Bloodweb

Since this is Dead by Daylight, the Entity will start removing items from the Bloodweb after you make five purchases. The Entity will remove items from the outer edge first and work in, so be sure to grab anything you want from the outside.

Perks in the Bloodweb

Perks are advanced from tiers 1 to 3 via the Bloodweb. They’re commonly found on the outer edge, where the Entity can easily get to them. It’s a good idea to choose a perk before anything else, especially since the Entity tends to consume them first. If there are two, choose wisely, and know that the one you weren’t able to get this time will show up again.

After you reach level 50 of the Bloodweb, your character specific perks will advance by one tier. Your character will also gain one Prestige level, and you can then share your character specific perks with any new survivor or killer at the tier they’re on. Keep in mind that survivor perks and items cannot be used with a killer and vice versa.

Prestige

Each Blooodweb has 50 levels before it resets. With each finished level, your character gains one Prestige. Prestige levels 4 through 9 will gain extra items for your character to wear. This can be a new face splattered with blood, a bloody shirt, and charms. It’s a nice way to start customizing your character to stand out from the crowd.

So that’s all I know about the Bloodweb. Hopefully you found it helpful. As always, feel free to reach out to me on social media with questions, comments, or just to say hello.
