The Story:

Secrets of a Wallaby Boy is a comedy about Tim (Brandon McCaffrey), an out of work and under sexed gay man looking to turn his life around. Because he’s unemployed, his roommate, Jade (Billie Hindle), often has to pay his share of the rent. Also, Jade is promiscuous and frequently has people over for loud sex, which Tim is forced to listen to.

One of the many people Jade has sex with works for a delivery service, Wallaby. Jade mentions to Tim that Wallaby is hiring, and that Wallaby delivery people often have sex with their customers. Eager to make some money and get laid, Tim downloads the app and applies for a job. And once he’s hired, Tim must learn how to ride a bike and navigate the world of home delivery.

Some Thoughts:

For a comedy to work, it must have amusing jokes and actors who understand comedic timing. Secrets of a Wallaby Boy has neither. On top of that, the script and story are awful. I have no idea why anybody spent their time and money on this movie, it is truly a piece of crap.

Some of the jokes–such as Tim falling off a bike–are repeated so often that they become tedious. And on top of that, nothing in the movie makes sense. There’s a difference between stupid comedy and just plain dumb. This movie is the latter. It’s so bad that I had a difficult time watching it. I kept telling myself that I won’t have to review it if I turn it off. But sadly, I didn’t.

The Final Verdict:

Secrets of a Wallaby Boy is a good example of how not to make a comedy. You’ll get more laughs by watching paint dry than this awful mess.
